McLean, VA — November 3, 2015 – DGC International announces that the company is close to finalizing our transition to the ISO 9001:2015 quality management system (QMS). DGC International is audited by BSI Group (also known in the United Kingdom market as the British Standards Institution), an official accreditation body for ISO 9001 standards. BSI Group is the world’s largest certification body. BSI certifies approximately 60,000 locations in over 124 countries and operates across the UK, CEMEA, Asia Pacific (including Japan and China) and the Americas.
This early transition demonstrates DGC International’s dedication to continual improvement of our organization, and our commitment to our customers.
Globally recognized and respected, ISO 9001:20015 standards are set by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), an independent, non-governmental membership organization and the world’s largest developer of voluntary International Standards. ISO is made up of 163 member countries that are the national standards bodies around the world, with a Central Secretariat that is based in Geneva, Switzerland.
“Our early ISO 9001:2015 transition is a result of our continued customer-based focus,” said Ayman Bekdash, Vice President, Operations. “The DGC International approach to quality management has evolved over the years as we have strived to understand, sustain and improve delivery of services to our customers. ISO 9001:2015 drives significant improvement, embedding strategy and an improved responsive customer experience that is the heart of our organization.”
ISO 9001:2015 standards specify organizational requirements in documentation, procedures, processes, policies and operations. Some of the major changes include a new high-level structure and greater emphasis on risk and management responsibilities.
