McLean, VA — February 8, 2014 – DGC International was recently awarded USAID ABADE BOAs in Afghanistan.
The Assistance in Building Afghanistan by Developing Enterprises (ABADE) program is a four-year project that, according to the USAID website, “primarily works with the private sector to strengthen the productivity of enterprises focused on sustained growth and job creation. ABADE’s objectives are to increase domestic and foreign investment, stimulate employment, and improve sales of Afghan products. Furthermore, ABADE is designed to complement other USAID programs that are focused on improving the business-enabling environment, increasing the workforce, and facilitating access to finance. ABADE’s alliances with Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) will accelerate productivity and job creation by mitigating risk, and leveraging contributions from private companies via alliances.”
“The ABADE program is one our team is especially excited to work on; it solidifies DGCI’s place in Afghanistan and helps to achieve USAID’s goals in the country,” noted Ian Galloway, Senior Business Consultant. “We continue to focus on improving the business climate in Afghanistan, to ensure the country is ready to compete in the global marketplace.”
