Washington DC — May 27, 2017 – DGC International is honored to support the Memorial Day Flowers Foundation and volunteer at Arlington National Cemetery. Across the nation, the Memorial Day Flowers Foundation hands out more than 240,000 flowers in more than 19 sites across America.DGC International’s Washington DC office contributed to the effort, handing out fresh cut flowers to those who came to pay their respects. DGC International has provided volunteers and sponsored the foundation since its inception in 2011.

DGC International Exhibits at SITDEF Peru

Washington DC — May 16, 2017 – DGC International is exhibiting at SITDEF Peru 2017 (http://www.sitdef.com/), at the Pentagonito in Lima, Peru. SITDEF is an international trade meeting sponsored and organized jointly by the Ministry of Defense and the Armed Forces of Peru, held every two years since 2007, to bring together domestic and foreign companies engaged in providing services, manufacturing, and marketing of defense and disaster prevention equipment using state-of-the-art technology. DGC International Awarded Security Upgrades Contract in Pakistan

Washington DC — May 15, 2017 – DGC International was recently awarded a contract to construct security upgrades in Pakistan by the US Army Corps of Engineers.

DGC International Awarded Iraq Fuels Contract

Washington DC — March 25, 2017 – DGC International was recently awarded a contract to deliver fuels in Iraq with the Defense Logistics Agency-Energy (DLA-E).

DGC International is pleased to support the DLA-E and the warfighter in Iraq. DGC International has a long history of operating in Iraq, and is one of the few fuel providers with strong relationships in the region, particularly in the Northern Iraqi region of Kurdistan.

DGC International is now ISO 9001:2015 certified

Washington DC — March 19, 2017 – DGC International announces that the company has transitioned to the ISO 9001:2015 management system (MS). DGC International is audited by BSI Group (also known in the United Kingdom market as the British Standards Institution), an official accreditation body for ISO 9001 standards. BSI Group is the world’s largest certification body. BSI certifies approximately 60,000 locations in over 124 countries and operates across the UK, CEMEA, Asia Pacific (including Japan and China) and the Americas.

This early transition demonstrates DGC International’s dedication to the continual improvement of our organization and our commitment to our customers.

Globally recognized and respected, ISO 9001:2015 standards are set by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO), an independent, non-governmental membership organization and the world’s largest developer of voluntary International Standards. ISO is made up of 163 member countries that are the national standards bodies around the world, with a Central Secretariat that is based in Geneva, Switzerland.

DGC International Central Supply Depot Contract Extended

Washington DC — February 28, 2017 –DGC International’s inventory management, yard and warehousing, and training site at the Central Supply Depot in Kabul, Afghanistan was recently extended to continue current objectives and meet new objectives identified during the base year period. The extension will allow DGC International to continue on-the-job and inventory management training (OJT), fix the NSN nomenclature, and continue to assist the Afghan National Army with identifying, categorizing and managing inventory.

“Our team continues to work side by side with the Afghan National Army to ensure supplies and material are accounted for and managed,” notes Ayman Bekdash. “We continue to appreciate the level of effort and support we have received from both the Afghan National Army and US Army EF 5.1.”

DGC International Awarded Jordan Transport

Washington DC — February 1, 2017 – DGC International was recently awarded a contract to transport fuels in Jordan.

DGC International is pleased to expand our transport services to the DLA-E in Jordan. DGC International has a strong logistics network in country, and supports several projects throughout the country.

DGC International Donates School Supplies for Orphans

Washington DC — October 9, 2016 – DGC International donated clothing, shoes, and school supplies to children at Shamsa Orphanage (“Sunrise Orphanage”) for the new school year to over 120 children.

DGC International’s entire Kabul, Afghanistan office contributed to the effort, handing out the items to the children. DGC International has contributed to and supported the orphanage for several years.

“Every child deserves the right tools for a great education,” noted Mustafa Zamani, President. “We hope that our support allows the children to focus on learning and growing.”

While DGC International manages its own charity programs, the independent Zamani Foundation is committed to national programs to improve children’s lives, particularly in war-torn areas. The Foundation is currently working on a program to build children’s libraries throughout Afghanistan. The first library is slated to be built in the Kunar province of Afghanistan.

DGC International Joins the Defense Industry Initiative

Washington DC — July 24, 2016 – DGC International has successfully joined the Defense Industry Initiative. The Defense Industry Initiative (DII), is a nonpartisan and non-profit organization of seventy-seven signatory companies comprising the top U.S. defense and security companies. Collectively, DII signatory companies receive over $540 billion per year in federal funds.

Every year, DII helps train hundreds of ethics officers on the latest issues in ethics and compliance. These ethics officers in turn help train hundreds of thousands of other defense-industry employees. An industry leader, DII holds regular meetings and conferences to share best ethical practices, and provides instructional resources to members and non-members alike.

In 2009, the Government Accountability Office (GAO) analyzed the quality of ethics programs at the largest U.S. defense firms. The firms, almost all DII members, excelled.
