McLean, VA — June 3, 2011 — DGC International, a leading construction, logistics and transportation, and linguist services company welcomes the newest member of our team, Mr. Ibrahim Hamayon. Currently, Mr. Hamayon is overseeing DGC International’s project with the US Embassy of Afghanistan as the Vice President of Construction Operations.
He has served in the Middle East and the U.S. as a land planner with over twenty-five years of experience in architectural design, land surveying, and land development engineering as well as overall construction management. Mr. Ibrahim’s responsibilities include managing projects and preparation of engineering and grading plans for the US Army, US Army Corps of Engineers, ISAF, US Embassy of Afghanistan and commercial developments. He oversees all design work in grading, drainage, sanitary sewer, BMP, water system, highways, erosion control, waste management system and other related work. He coordinates and negotiates with the local and government agencies to obtain approval of plans. He also provides technical support on engineering issues relating to site drainage, building placement, septic field design (both conventional and innovative), and Chesapeake Bay preservation areas. He is a licensed architect with a BS in Architecture from Kabul University.Mr. Hamayon’s international and domestic experience allows him to bring US quality control standards to international projects that often require rigorous quality control measures. He has worked on prior projects including the MOD Broadcast Center, Kabul, Afghanistan for the US Army Corps of Engineers, Stonewall Manor in Manassas, Virginia for Prince William County for Edgemoore Homes, Oxford Forest, Fairfax County for Culvert Homes, and Alexandria Estates, Fairfax County for JDA Homes.
