Airport Entry and Exit Services

 

As part of the Bilateral Security Agreement (BSA)/Status of Forces Agreement (SOFA) between Afghanistan and the United States, DGC International was awarded a contract to provide Aerial Port of Debarkation/Embarkation (APOD)(Entry/Exit) services at all major airports in Afghanistan – including Kabul, Kandahar, Bagram AB, Mazar-e-Sharif, and Herat. DGC International provided all training, management, and personnel services needed to mobilize the 5 sites across Afghanistan simultaneously to assist with the facilitation for the efficient entry and exit of NATO Resolute Support, US forces, and Department of State, and contractor personnel performing on NATO or US awarded contracts in Afghanistan. DGCI served as a facilitator and liaison between the aforementioned personnel and Government of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan (GIRoA) officials concerning entry/exit procedures and documents such as passports, visas, US/NATO contractor certificates.

APOD Advisors assisted both the military and the contractor community with difficulties related to visa processing, border entry and exit, and provided training for the Afghan Border Police, the Airport Authorities (under the auspices of the Afghanistan Civil Aviation Authority), the National Directorate of Security, and members of the Afghanistan Ministry of Foreign Affairs to ensure BSA/SOFA entry/exit requirements are enforced. Training materials were developed for entry/exit requirements as well as signage that was placed throughout the airports to educate incoming visitors. Due to DGCI’s efforts, over 3000 travelers were processed with over 150 resolutions for incoming personnel.
